After a brilliant qualifying at Snetterton in the British GT Championship, which saw Jan Jonck put in a very fast lap that got him third starting position, just 0.100 sec shy of pole man (team boss) Matt Nicoll-Jones, come Sunday was a different story.
Unfortunately, the car was hit by engine troubles all day, which denied Jan and his team mate Tom Wood every chance of a fight for a top result both in race 1 and race 2.
“It’s a pity”, said Jan. “The car was really good on Saturday, so I think we could have been fighting for a podium, if we weren’t hit by trouble. Thanks to the team guys who was working flat out trying to solve the issue. Now Silverstone can’t come soon enough. I just want to get back in the car”.
